Our Favourite Dog Friendly Attractions, Cornwall

Our Favourite Dog Friendly Attractions, Cornwall

With the sun shining, the smell of scones in the air and ice creams being bought like they are going out of fashion, summer in Cornwall is truly here. As you may or may not know, the Natural Cornish Pet Shop is based in the beautiful St Erth in West Cornwall and when we are not busy fulfilling orders for our Natural Cornish Pet online customers or serving you in our shop, there's nothing we like more than to take a day out with our dogs in our beautiful county on a balmy summer's day.

Dog Friendly Cornwall

With miles of beautiful coastal walks, countryside rambles and a plethora of dog friendly attractions and hospitality businesses, Cornwall is a great place to live or holiday with your dog. Whether you are a permanent resident of this beautiful county or are planning a trip here this summer with your dog, finding great things to do with your poochie pals can be difficult at times due to things like seasonal dog restrictions on beaches and at other attractions. However, having been based out of St Erth for over seven years and with Cornish blood flowing through our veins, we have got the local knowledge and dog expertise to have come up with our top things to do in Cornwall, this summer, with your dog by your side.

It's important that when you plan your summer adventures that your dog can be involved in them too. Being a major part of the family and one that loves a new place full of exciting smells and senses, your furry friend will love these days out just as much as you will. It's also a great way to keep your dog used to other people and animals too, especially after the year we have all had with very little social interaction, which is as important for your canine companion as it is for us.

When taking your dog out this summer it's important to not forget the necessities and at Natural Cornish Pet we’ve got all the summer doggy essentials you could need in store or online. From compostable poop bags and emergency dog wipes to those all important treats for rewarding your pup's good behaviour, we have got it all at Natural Cornish Pet Shop.

Helston Railway

One of our favourite things to do on a summer's day when the weather isn't exactly conducive to a trip to the beach is to take a trip on the Helston Railway. This award winning heritage railway is just a short drive away from the Natural Cornish Pet Shop at St Erth and allows you and your dog to live out all of your 'The Railway Children' dreams! Tickets for dogs are just a pound and you can enjoy this short nostalgic train ride whilst enjoying views over the gorgeous West Cornwall countryside.
