Support Dog Friendly Businesses

As the government announces the lift in the nationwide lockdown, many of us are returning to our daily lives and shopping like before. With local businesses finally allowed to open their doors on the brink of Christmas, we are encouraging people more than ever to shop locally and support their community in any ways they can.

From café’s to shops, our county has a plethora of pawfect places for you and your four-legged friend so when we enter Tier 1 and more and more splendid places begin to open this Winter, we encourage, you and your furry friend to visit and help our Cornish community bring itself back to life this Christmas, because for many of us all we want for Christmas is normality. Here's just a handful of the fantastic dog friendly businesses in Cornwall...

National Animal Welfare Trust, Hayle

The Cornish Animal Welfare Trust centre is located in the heart of West Cornwall. Just a stone’s throw away from the Natural Cornish Pet Shop and Doggy Day Care, this centre strives to rescue and rehome animals throughout the county. With an excellent team on hand each and every day, the National Animal Welfare Trust, Hayle is a place where dogs and cats alike can feel as loved and adored as they should be right up until they find their happily ever after.

With their charity shop in Hayle unable to open their doors due to restrictions in the national lockdown, we encourage anyone looking to pick up Christmas trinkets to visit their store in Hayle with all donations and business going directly to the centre who are dedicated to doing everything they can to improve the lives of animals in and around our Cornish coast.

Copper Spoon, Marazion

Just a stone’s throw away from the magic of St Michael’s Mount, the Copper Spoon café promises a selection of fantastically flavoured food. From superb sandwiches to classic cakes and delicious desserts, this cosy café is a short stroll away from the magnificent beauty of Marazion and is an idyllic location for you and your four-legged friend.

Packed with shelves of homemade cakes and fantastic food, the Copper Spoon is definitely a place to kick off your shoes and relax with your canine companion. Fancy a stroll after your lovely lunch? Turn left and continue down the road to where you will find steps leading onto the beautiful beach of Trenow Cove. With stunning scenery proving a perfect summer stroll, take an adventure down to the Copper Spoon and give yourself and your dog something special. With their café able to open post-lockdown, we look forward to taking our furry friends for a delicious treat this December.

Trevaskis Farm, Hayle

This dog-adoring destination is an idyllic location for you and your furry friend. With their on-site restaurant cooking some of the best dishes in West Cornwall (we highly recommend the Trevaskis Breakfast) featuring ingredients straight from their farm, their food is delicious beyond belief. For those with a sweeter tooth, Trevaskis are renowned for their gigantic dessert portions serving everything from giant chocolate eclairs to colossal cheesecakes.

As our furry friends are permitted to explore the grounds, you and your family are free to fruit pick to your heart’s content, so treat them to a raspberry or two as you bask in the beauty of the best British produce right here in the heart of West Cornwall.

Natural Cornish Pet Shop

Without your love and support over the past years, our doors would have struggled to remain open in the recent economy. Providing food, treats and toys to pets all around Cornwall and the UK, the Natural Cornish Pet Shop wouldn’t be what it is without its loyal customers. Despite functioning at a somewhat normal capacity over the past 6 months, we encourage you more than ever to shop with us for your furry friends.

Providing all-natural, wholesome and health benefiting food and treats for your pets, we are dedicated to ensuring your furry friends live a long and happy life. Based in the heart of West Cornwall with our very own Doggy Day Care right next door, when the lockdown is lifted on December 2nd we want to welcome anyone (furry or human) into our store to select some of the best stocking fillers on the pet food market, because when it comes to knowing what your pet’s need, we consider ourselves experts.

So as we enter Tier 1 and are able to venture out into the great outdoors once again, do your bit to support your local community and give our Cornish county a little something special this Christmas.
