FAQs

Raw Feeding

How much do I need to feed my dog? In adult dogs, the guide is to feed between 2 and 3% of the animal’s body weight daily (or of their ideal body weight if they need to gain/lose weight). Every dog is an individual and many need more or less than the guidelines.

How do I feed raw food safely? When dealing with raw meat hygiene is very important; make sure to store all raw food in a sealed package in the freezer and do not refreeze.

How do I transition my dog to the raw diet? Transitioning to raw food only takes around 7 days and is done by feeding 50% current food and 50% raw food. Avoiding mixing the two and feed in separate meals wherever possible.

Do I need to feed my dog bones? Raw bones are a fantastic source of nutrition and help to make up a balanced diet for dogs, so we do recommend carefully chosen raw bones are a part of a dog’s diet. Cooked bones tend to be too brittle and can be a choking hazard.

Can I give raw food to my puppy?  Most raw food brands sell specialist raw food that's suitable for puppies - we offer several options for puppies from Natures Menu and Natural Instinct.

Delivery

How long will my delivery take to arrive? Most of our National Delivery Orders with a weight of 2kg and above go out next day, so order before 10am and your order should be with you by the next day.

Do I have to be in for delivery? Due to the nature of our products we do require our customers to be in for deliveries. You will receive a text on the day of delivery to advise you on when to expect your order.

Do you offer free samples? We’re a small, Cornish company stocking good quality food which is often locally sourced and hand made so we’re unable to provide samples. However it’s very easy to put together a small order of food to test the products. There is also no minimum order for our free click and collect service if you’re in the area.
